Can somebody explain the difference between no recoil and no spread in simple terms?

I know they're different things but I still mix them up.

    No recoil = less weapon movement. No spread = tighter bullet placement. That's the simple version.

    Yep. Recoil is the gun moving around. Spread is the bullets not going exactly where the crosshair suggests.

    Think of it like this: Recoil = your gun goes brrrr upward. Spread = the bullets decide they have their own plans 😂

    I usually notice recoil more on automatic weapons. Spread is way more obvious when you're trying to hit something further away.

    Okay that actually makes sense now. I was basically treating them as the same thing.

    A lot of people do. Once you separate “weapon movement” and “bullet deviation” it becomes pretty obvious.
